What is ESS EcoVerse ?

ESS stands for Environmental Stewardship Solutions. It is a company registered in Ontario, Canada.

There is a growing awareness about the importance of environmental action and sustainability. It is heartening to see many advocating for change and working towards a better future.

After the launch of “Echoes of Environment Justice, Poetry and Prose.” by Professor Kusi-Appiah, we are confident that this will inspire others to join the conversation and take action.
Youth, communities and environment.

Shaping a generation that leads environmental change

Advocacy on the environment continues unabated, via educational workshops/seminars, and nature tours. All this will be done through the sole proprietorship enterprise registered as “Environmental Stewardship Solutions (ESS)” and teaching the youth, especially students in elementary and secondary schools.

ESS will also engage in research activities that produce booklets on how to deal with the environment and the distributing them to all stakeholders including a partitions and corporate entities.

Andy (Kwaku) Kusi-Appiah

Educator at heart

Shaping minds to protect the planet

Dr. Kusi-Appiah is an environmental philosopher and political ecologist whose mission extends far beyond the classroom. With advanced training from the University of Ghana and Carleton University, he champions experiential, inclusive, and curiosity-driven learning. He believes that education must empower young people to understand their environments, question systems, and become confident stewards of the world around them. His teaching bridges academic insight with lived experiences, nurturing students who don’t just learn sustainability — but lead it.

Community advocate

Empowering people. Strengthening voices.

With decades of engagement in community development, public advisory roles, and youth leadership, Dr. Kusi-Appiah has dedicated his career to social inclusion and collective progress. From shaping municipal diversity initiatives to mentoring grassroots organizations, he has continuously enabled communities to become active participants in environmental and social decision-making. His work reflects a firm belief that sustainable change is most powerful when it is community-led, culturally informed, and shared across generations.

It’s the little things citizens do. That’s what will make
the difference. My little thing is planting trees.
